It is more common for plastic flying discs to use the hot stamping process, but there are also some users who consult the heat transfer process. So can the flying disc adopt the thermal transfer process and what kind of machine should I choose?
The so-called thermal transfer is to print the pattern to be transferred on the PET film by gravure printing, screen printing or inkjet printing, and then use the late gold machine and the thermal transfer machine to perform heat and pressure operations.
First of all, we have defined that the thermal transfer machine is a silver embossing type, and the hot stamping machine is a flat embossing type. To perform the thermal transfer process, an electric eye tracking system must be installed on the machine. The electric eye tracking system can control the wheel feed motor of the thermal transfer film to brake at a certain position, and then heat and pressure bonding action occurs.
This is consistent with our common heat transfer process.
So can the thermal transfer be realized on the flat hot stamping machine? The answer is also yes.
The flat hot stamping machine can also be installed with thermal transfer film, and it can also be equipped with an electric eye tracking system. Therefore, as long as the flat silicone plate is installed on the flat hot stamping machine, and the necessary tension control is performed on the hot stamping paper conveying device, the thermal transfer can still be achieved.
However, we usually do not recommend users to use flat hot stamping machines to realize the thermal transfer process, because the roller imprinting type machine is in line contact, and the printing quality is easy to guarantee: while flat hot stamping uses surface contact, the contact area is easy to be mixed with air, resulting in The adhesion of the partial film paper decreases.
However, in some cases, it is necessary to use the flat heat transfer process, such as the heat transfer of snowboard wheels, and the heat transfer of the top of some concave bottle caps.
2. Choose the bronzing process
The hot stamping on the plastic frisbee requires a lot of pressure, and it is possible to achieve a perfect hot stamping effect with a pressure of about 5t or more. On plastic materials, such as polyolefin materials, it is not easy to bronzing. In addition to choosing a special bronzing paper, a high-pressure bronzing machine is also required; if the bronzing pressure is not enough, it is difficult to obtain excellent adhesion of the bronzing paper.
The spin gold on the plastic frisbee also has a trend of multi-color in recent years. Due to the low entry barrier for monochromatic hot stamping, many users are facing increasing market competition pressure, and they consider three-color or even more color hot stamping on plastic frisbees.
Multi-color hot stamping is the same as multi-color pad printing and screen printing, but there is an obvious difference: multi-color hot stamping can only be the superposition of color blocks, and it is impossible to reproduce the gradation, and different colors of hot stamping paper are not allowed. Overlay appears.
